With City Mission, they transform blank walls into murals that tell local stories; with Elm Roastery, they learn how ideas become real businesses; alongside Guardians of Flushing Bay, they care for the waterways that surround them; and with Bolivian Llama Party, they bring student-grown produce from garden to table.

At Elm, teaching is a craft we grow together. In partnership with High Tech High, educators design bold, project-based learning that brings curiosity, rigor, and real-world relevance into every classroom. Through teacher education programs like Teachers College and Lavinia Group, we help prepare the next generation of educators while sharpening our own instructional practice.
